Qualified Glass Blower
Albatross UV is hiring experienced Quartz Glassblowers. Qualified applicant will possess hands-on experience, as a glass blower, to assemble small and large arc lamp assemblies according to drawings and instructions. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of all steps in quartz arc lamp manufacturing. Each glassblower is provided with his/her own work area equipped with a lathe, full set of tools, and access to a full assortment of firepower from bench /carriage burners to hand /micro torches. Lathe work is predominant, but bench work is sometimes required, as is cutting, grinding, lapping, and milling within tolerances as tight as .02mm. We are looking for a team player with some basic skills and the ability to learn the techniques that make us an industry leader. Compensation is based on ability and practical experience. We offer unrivaled production incentives, and on-the-job training from some of the industries top glassblowers.
